Game Break: Best of Both Worlds/GVL Family Vacation

  • Sharebar

The GVL Family took sometime away from the city life last weekend and headed to the beach to relax and try (somewhat unsuccessfully) to disconnect from the world. Of course, when you get a bunch of geeks like us to leave town for a weekend, we pack iPads, laptops, boardgames and an Xbox complete with Kinect.

Watch for some videos to make their way to the site in the next few weeks like: Karma’s Toxic Waste Challenge, Lawjick’s Sparkly Balls and maybe a quick peek at the faces behind the GVL gamertags.

Problem with going away on a long weekend vacation is that when you come back, no one wants to go shopping. Least of all me, my Xbox felt neglected for the weekend and was pouting.

So food, yeah. Hungry.

Awesome WTF? Best of Both Worlds Pornbars

What To Do That?

  • 1/2 cup of softened butter
  • 2 cups chunky peanut butter (or creamy if you’re into that)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 cups “crispy rice” type cereal (you know the one, “Snap! Crackle! Profit!”)
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

How To Do That?

  1. Butter a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a microwavable bowl, stir together the butter, the peanut butter and the powdered sugar until well blended.
  3. Mix in the “crispy rice” cereal so that it is evenly distributed. Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In the microwave, melt the chocolate chips, stirring occasionally until smooth.
  5. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the peanut butter mixture.
  6. Refrigerate until the chocolate stiffens before cutting into the bars.
Psyfallen’s Advice:
“Leave a few discarded empty wrappers of chocolate laxatives around the kitchen to ensure your roommates leave your bloody stash alone. Now that’s one to grow on.”
