A Wii Bit of News
So I’ve been staring down that little square on my Wii menu browser entitled “News.” It’s been a hard staring contest, because the damned thing doesn’t blink. But come Saturday, oh yes, it will blink. And I shall be informed!
The Associated Press has signed a 2 year contract with Nintendo, providing news and pictures from around the world. It’s going to have a setup similar to the weather channel, offering users an interactive globe to select localized news. All you need to run it is the Opera browser. So while the channel is free, Opera is still in beta, and thus only free for a limited time.
Reasons to put down the Wiimote are getting much harder to find.
