WarioWare Smooth Moves

“Hold the Form Baton vertically, thumb resting lightly on the button. Through
this stance, you channel the quiet dignity of a circus clown in the midst of
a thunderstorm.”

I think that excerpt says a lot about this title. It is absolutely insane. It is through this insanity that its joy is unleashed. As I’m sure many know, the game is based around constantly shifting through 5 second mini games (called microgames). The game is rather genre-busting. You enter a level, watch a 20 second cartoon about a denizen of the city in which the game takes place, and then a sign comes up telling you how to hold the wiimote for the next microgame. You then have a few seconds to figure out what on earth is going on, what you’re supposed to do, and then do it. As you progress the games get faster requiring you to be gradually more adaptable. Needless to say this game was designed for parties. With up to 12 players frantically passing one wiimote to participate in a zany microgame (say…. placing some dentures in an old woman’s mouth, or scrubbing an elephant’s behind), fun is guaranteed. The biggest complaint I can think of for the game is that the main single player mode is too short. (1-3 hours) So if you don’t have any friends it might not be the best idea. All in all this game is just plain fun. I give this game 8/10

Remember, when playing WariorWare Smooth Moves, always stand between 15-30 apples away from the television as the manual instructs.
