Damn…Now Canada is Cool too…

Following closely in France’s footsteps, the government of Quebec is giving Ubisoft $19 million (Canadian, but that’s still $16.2 million US) to start a new studio and expand the existing Ubisoft Montreal. This design studio will be dedicated to the merging of movies and games.

Already employing over 1,000 people, the grant will allow over a thousand new jobs to be created, with money going to training and educating new employees.

Games are finally beign recognized as art elsewhere, why are we still here arguing about it? The stuff started here!
