Wee War, you die.

So you like strategy games and have time to kill at work? Are you online all day? Well Wee War may just be the game to for you. Simply put, Wee War is a turn based strategy game along the same lines as Risk. The point of the game is to capture neutral and enemy bases with your troopers. Of course the enemy is trying to do the exact same thing on your bases.

Apart from the troops, there are other types of weapons of mass destruction like tanks, raiders, and artillery. Units are usually strong against one unit, and weaker against another. It all depends on the unit you play them against. The goal is to war it out with each other. Make alliances to defeat other players, or just duke it out alone. It is all up to you. The game is still in beta testing so you can play for free. To play you either need to invite another player or you need to be invited to a game from someone you know that plays. You know, someone like me. It’s fun, and a great time killer in a meaningless job. Not that I am saying your job is meaningless…

I found this little game online that is growing rapidly. It’s free, and considering that I’m a cheap-ass student and that is how I roll. So sign up, challenge me and lets make a game of it. I need more opponents, so play me!

Your base be mine!

Ever watch Friends?

By Joe

Remember the episode where they’re trying to do all 50 states? Yeah, you think it’s easy.

50 States in 10 Minutes

Ok, so counting down from minutes 8-3, I couldn’t remember 5 of the states. It really shouldn’t be this hard.

I got what felt like a decent way into it before my head started pounding and I wanted to start drinking…drinking what, I’m not sure. But I bet it’s caffeinated. Lots.

Addictions

No, I don’t mean drugs or anything… it’s video games. Online video games, to be precise.

Addiction #1- Subeta

Subeta is a pet site. Yes, a pet site. But, it’s a game, too, I suppose. Because games are how you earn points to buy stuff for your pets. Sorta like mini-games and side quests. And yes, there are even fetch-quests you can do. Aaaa, fetch quests… reminds me of Zelda…

And your pets don’t die, either, if you don’t take care of them. So you can be a lazy pet owner like me and ignore your pets, and then just dump ‘em in the resort and they’ll be happy again. Bad me.

Addiction #2- Maple Story

Now here’s a regular MMORPG. Okay, maybe not quite so regular. For one, it’s sprite based. Yeah, sprite based. 2D platforming sprites. Chibi sprites, even, so everyone looks cute. Not that cute is bad (I like cute), but not everyone does. Secondly, it’s free. Yes, free. No monthly charges, no buying the game, just go download it and play. And it’s INCREDIBLY addicting. Half the reason it’s taking me so long to write this is ‘cuz I was logged in, and was playing “hit the monsters with a bunch of spells” and then “run away to a safe place to recover my MP” (I’m a mage), and while that was recovering, I was typing. Then I figured it didn’t work, so I logged off the game (okay, my other party member logging off was part of it, too). And there are some silly weapons you can get, too. For example, I just sacrificed some magic attack to use the new weapon I got from a monster (monsters drop all sorts of random goodies). A snowboard. Yes, a snowboard.

Oh crap, I just realized that my mage (who will eventually be an ice/lightning mage at the next class change) fights like HoroHoro from Shaman King (yes, go ahead and call me an otaku. After all, isn’t “otaku” practically Japanese for “geek” by US usage?).

Alright, gotta go for now… getting ready to do some stuff for an RP I’m in, after I finish a few games on Subeta… oh yeah, and finish cooking dinner, too…
